Michael T. Lu, MD, MPH, is Co-Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Cardiovascular Imaging Research Center (CIRC), Associate Chair of Imaging Science for the MGH Department of Radiology, and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lu completed his MD and MPH at Harvard University. His training included a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco, fellowship in Thoracic and Cardiac Imaging at MGH, and a NIH T32 fellowship in Cardiac Imaging also at MGH. Dr. Lu's research focus is on using cardiac CT to improve cardiovascular health and to understand the pathophysiology of coronary artery disease in people living with HIV. Read more

Heather Ribaudo, PhD is a Principal Research Scientist at the Department of Biostatistics at Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health where she is the Director of Biostatistics and Programming for the Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research. Dr. Ribaudo received her Ph.D. from the Medical Statistics department of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Read more

Tricia Burdo, Ph.D

Tricia Burdo, Ph.D, is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience at Temple University College of Medicine. Her research focuses on the role of ongoing chronic immune activation and the role of monocyte/macrophages in HIV-associated peripheral neuropathy (HIV-PN), HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND) and cardiovascular disease (CVD). Triin Umbleja, MSc

Trial Statistician


Triin is a biostatistician at the Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research. She works with other biostatisticians on the team, supports day-to-day activities, prepares DSMB reports, and - Triin’s favorite – works on REPRIEVE’s many exciting analyses. She is also the protocol statistician on the physical function substudy PREPARE, and has worked on various other ACTG studies in coinfections and comorbidities of HIV over the past 17 years. Kayla Paradis

Project Manager of the DCC


Kayla is the Project Manager of the Data Coordinating Center (DCC). She manages and oversees trial operations, imaging, and non-imaging data management, QA/QC, clinical trials documentation, as well as clinical trial regulatory components. Kayla assists in managing all aspects of the REPRIEVE DCC and serves as primary liaison for the principal investigators, biostatisticians, clinical research sites, and Clinical Events Committee (CEC).
